Guess who has been doing a happy dance over here at Blue Lotus headquarters (aka my living room #sidehustle #ftw)?
Why, you ask?
Because, I am more than thrilled to introduce our newest segment: Celestial Considerations with Brenda! Serving you an insight to the stars above, and the astrological influence we all may be experiencing in this earthy realm. Astrology allows for self-reflection, and gives us the opportunity to be mindful, both about ourselves and our surrounding world.
Brenda is a dear friend of mine who recently began conducting her own astrology readings, and my intuition was clear when it said her words were meant to be shared with you all. The changes occurring around us all can make for a turbulent-feeling world, so there is no better time than now to rise our collective vibrations, awareness, and consciousness.
So without further ado, I bring you the October 16th to October 23rd Celestial Considerations with Brenda!
(Remember these energies are around for several days I simply give the exact date for reference.)
This week is giving us a prelude for our Sun moving into Scorpio next Monday 23rd... there is lots of Scorpio and lots of depth to the energies this week with our New Moon on Thursday.
Sheryl Mooney, my late friend and astrology teacher, said that Scorpio was the most difficult sign in the zodiac because it was about moving beyond fear, and in particular, the fear of death. She used the Icarus story to explain Scorpio. She said that it wasn’t that he was being bad or not listening to his father; he simply had to soar and fly; and what we need to learn with Scorpio is that we don’t need to fall so hard or take ourselves out.
I like to give the example of a young woman; saying goodbye to her childhood to become a woman and the ‘death’ of her virginity to become a mother and give birth to new life. Scorpio teaches us that in order to move forward and bring new into our lives, we have to more than just let go... we have to get beyond the fear. Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, so this is all about transformation; in order to transform, we have to let go of the past and old memories. We can soar and enjoy our experience, even go ahead and get close to the sun, and realize as we float back down that we can accept that flight is over and get ourselves ready for the next phase. Dr. Seuss “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because is happened.” I think of the transition at the bottom being like a great big capital U; we can choose to make this a nice rounded flow and not be so stressful on ourselves or our bodies.
Monday 16th: Libra Sun sextile Saturn in Sagittarius. This is a working aspect of balanced opportunity going out in all directions. We have help here with Mercury in the last of Libra today (29 degrees) the mastery level; your thoughts and words for Peace and balance will be both powerful and easily integrated in everything you do today. I encourage you to set your intention first thing when you get up for however you choose to use this energy. “I send Peace to the world”.
Tuesday 17th: Mercury moves into Scorpio and remains until November 6th; it gets started right away with its work in Scorpio tomorrow.
Wednesday 18th: Mercury is conjunct Jupiter in Scorpio. Expansion of your words and thought forms. This aspect is focused; concentrated with lots of energy behind it with these two planets working together for transformation. This is also the setup for the New Moon, so you will want to contemplate and work with these together.
Thursday 19th: New Moon Libra is all about deeper understanding; harmony and balance with other viewpoints; a peaceful coexistence with those with opposing views. It is also in opposition to Uranus; breaking free of old patterns or relationships, restrictions and judgements. I normally don’t mention aspects of the moon because it moves so fast it will often have several aspects to planets every day. This opposition is within 8 minutes of the exact time of the new moon. Adding lots of mojo to this one and, as we know, Uranus demands change on a dime. New Moons are about looking into the dark; it is introspective and it is for planting those seeds within. Pay attention to any little nudges or thoughts that ‘pop’ into your head; with new moons you get to plant the seed and then just let it grow.
Sunday 22nd: Mars moves into Libra and remains until December 10th. Mars is often referred to as the warrior, and today it moves into Libra which is all about balance, working together and Peace. We can watch what happens here in our outer world. For you personally, think of your life force energy being brought into balance over these next weeks. During this time we will have other planets give us aspects to help while Mars will move through different areas of our life during this time. Observe and Enjoy!
Monday 23rd: Our Solar Sun moves into Scorpio. If you know a Scorpio, or someone with strong Scorpio in their chart, they can be very powerful people. Sheryl said that sometimes others will sense this energy before they even step into the room and because they feel threatened from this power react before the Scorpio has even had a chance to even or say a word. Scorpio is full of passion; this might be in just some areas or best of all passion for life itself.
